Season 2 Episode 1 – Nothing But the Blood

The brutal shocking murder of Miss Jeanette who was the Tara’s fake exorcist, makes the whole town of Bon Temps really shocked and reeling, where Tara becomes overtly reluctant to tell the police that she knew the deceased, fearing that her mother who is ex-alcoholic might find about out about Miss Jeanette’s lies and relapse.

Eventually, she comes forward and gets interrogated where her deep fears are reached as Lettie Mae, her mother, arrives at the palace station and learns all about Miss Jeanette. In the meantime, Lafayette is kidnapped and is held with Royce, one of the three rednecks who had earlier burned the three vampires to death, among others, somewhere in a basement. As Jason impresses Sarah and Steve Newlin, who are the leaders of the anti-vampire church, the Fellowship of the Sun at a luncheon, he is offered a chance to go to the leadership retreat, where he has a chance to learn how to serve God. The presence of Maryann troubles Sam and he recalls when they had sexual encounters in his tender age of seventeen and even stole about a hundred dollars from the woman. He takes another younger waitress also, called Daphne.

As Eggs and Tara becomes closer every day, Bill and Sookie are meshed in rockier ground once she finds out he murdered the Uncle Bartlett, who sexually abused her. Bills tells Sookie it is his love for her that is too much to allow her uncle to just get away with the earlier abuses on her. She forgives Bill and they passionately have sex. It is revealed that it is Eric keeping Lafayette captive as the episode ends the Royce really trying to run away but Eric feeds on him and kills him, blood spraying on Lafayette.
