At her sacrificial ritual, Maryann decides to appoint Sookie as her ‘maid of honor’, and Sookie is really disgusted. Sookie refuses to repeat her unique ‘electric touch after Maryann asks her to do so. Lafayette who is entranced restraints her. Andy Bellefleur and Jason approach on the gathered crowd using an arsenal of assorted weaponry and they end up entranced themselves.

As Eric meets Sophie-Ann, it becomes liar that she was the one who had ordered Eric to have Lafayette dealing V once more. She hardly likes the idea that Bill has an idea about hat Northman is up to, although Eric promises to deal with him prior to him figuring out the idea that it is Sophie-Ann who has been behind it all. At Merlotte’s Bill finds Sam who orders him to accompany him to go and see Maryann. In exchange for Sookie’s safety, Sam is offered to Maryann by Bill. Sookie objects too this strongly but Bill asks Sookie to put his trust in him. Sam is stabbed by Eggs who offers Maryann the blood and she rubs it all on her body.

However, Sam is not dead and he asks Skie to make sure she has destroyed all the offerings that Maryann offers is offering in her ritual. Maryann is very angry about this and she pursues Sookie using her poisonous claws, although she is halted by a bull, which she believes is the God Who Comes. After offering herself to these ‘God’, it stabs her at her chest using its horns and as Maryann begins to die, there is a transformation and it transforms itself to Sam, and he finishes the job by the removal of Maryann’s heart. Sookie is told by Bill that he was the one who had offered Sam his world so that he could recover faster after the stabbing. Sam is also thanked by Bill for his true trust and for protecting and saving Bon Temps.

On the other hand, Hoyt comes to know that his mother was telling the truth about his dad’s suicide. He is deeply disturbed and he walks away from her again to search for Jessica. Once he has arrived at Bill’s, the place is deserted. Jessica lies to Bill that she was going to offer her apologies to Hoyt but instead she goes to a gas station where she feeds on a truck driver who hardly suspects anything. Sam goose to his adopted parents for a visit. Sam’s adopted mother deeply cries and still could not accept the idea that Sam is a true Shape shifter and his adopted dad, who seems deathly ill, writes down Sam’s request, that he is told who his true parents were, despite the fact that the step mother warns him they were really bad people.

Since Egg is intensely disturbed by the current happenings where he begs Sookie to aid him to uncover what he does in his blackouts. Sookie helps and he learns that he was the one who had murdered Miss Jeanette and Daphne as well as the one who had stabbed Sam. He becomes distraught incredibly over all the things that he had done under the influence of Maryann and begging to be arrested, holds Andy Bellefleur at knife point. As Andy tries to tell Egg that all the things he did were not from his own volition, but Jason, who sees the hold-up from a distance, hardly knows what is going down and shots Eggs. After realizing he has killed Eggs, Jason is very afraid but Andy makes sure he has taken his gun and after wiping it off, he tells him to leave and tells him ‘he was not around and say nothing’.

A lot of people arrive with Tara only to find Eggs dead after being shot, where she cries bitterly. Sookie is taken to a French restaurant by Bill, where he proposes to her. Initially confused, Sookie is afraid of all the intense happenings that had taken place in her life. She excuses herself and goes to the bathroom, where she takes some time and recomposes herself and makes up her mind that she hardly wants to wed Bill. Nonetheless, Bill is kidnapped and captured through the use of a silver chain. As she returns, she finds Bill gone and the French restaurant is in total disarray.

Bill approaches Sophie-Ann, the Louisiana Vampire Queen, who feeds from a young girl’s femoral artery. Bill seeks on the way forward to defeat Maryann, but he is held the entire day playing Yahtzee for Sophie-Ann before she helps him. She finally reveals to him that Maryann has all along been waiting for her “true death” from the gods and can only die if she is convinced that her god has finally come for her.

Bill quickly departs for Bon Temps. He meets Eric on the way out. He threatens to tell it all to Sophie-Ann about Eric and the way he has made Lafayette sell vampire blood. This is on condition that he doesn’t see Sookie. Maxine, Hoyt’s mother is taken away from Jessica after realizing how violent she could be. He blames it all on ignoring Bill’s warnings about her. Having been heartbroken, Jessica screams in rage. Sookie, Lafayette and Lettie Mae are unable to handle Tara. She persist that she has to go after Eggs. Tara convinces her mother how much God wants to go. Lettie Mae points the gun to Sookie and Lafayette while Tara makes her way out.

Sookie and Lafayette finally liberate themselves from the hostage and go after Tara. Tara already gets to Sookie’s house right to the kitchen where he finds Eggs. Tara is strict on Maryann, this time saying that she can’t be easily convinced. She also affirms that she won’t let herself be prejudiced by Maryann’s “vibrating” energy. Maryann slaps her across the face leaving Tara with no option other than follow her commands. Sam finds Arlene’s children, Lisa Fowler and Coby hiding from their mother around the woods. He goes with them and serves them lunch. They take this time to tell him their predicament of having not eaten for days.

Meanwhile Jason and Andy, agree to handle Maryann and punish her. They apparently ignore Sam’s advice that Maryann was unstoppable with the use of violence. They seek for armament at the police station. Maryann’s influence has spread to all staffs at the police department who behave dangerously and obnoxiously. However, Andy and Jason are able to arm themselves with guns and ammo in plenty. They put aside their differences this time to work with the aim of defeating Maryann. Sam seeks help from Eric taking the kids to Fangtasia single heartedly. The Viking vampire falls for his trick and she agrees to seek Sophie-Ann’s advice on how Maryann can be stopped. Maryann gets information from townspeople that Sam was smote by the god.

However, Maryann assumes that Sam’s shape-shifting might have tricked the mob and he orders them out angrily. Hoyt tries in a friendly way to deal with Maxine, but she insults him more. She angers him by asserting that the reason why his father killed himself was because of his weakness contrary to what Hoyt believed that his father was shot by burglars. Sookie and Lafayette get back to the house.

While Terry and Arlene are being distracted by Lafayette with drugs, Sookie manages to sneak inside. After encountering Mike Spencer briefly, she moves upstairs. Lafayette meets Maryann and Carl. He tries to shoot Maryann, but the bullet deflects into Carl who dies instantly. Sookie gets to her Gran’s old room where she finds Tara and Eggs trying a large nest on the bed. In the nest lies a large, UN hatched egg. Having been influenced by Maryann; Lafayette charges on Sookie, as she screams for help.

The relationship between Sookie and Eric is quite intimate. It all began when Eric was mourning Godric’s loss. Sookie was there to console him. It is a dream comes true for the two. Drinking Eric’s blood can all be attributed to this scenario. After returning to Bon Temps, the three, Sookie, Jason and Bill find the town in major chaos. They hurry to Bill’s house where they find Jessica and Hoyt tending to Maxine, who has been affected by Maryann’s power.

Sam is tricked from his hide outs with just a simple call. He comes straight to Merlotte’s. They are trapped in the walk-in fridge by the townsfolk trap. Jason comes in armed with power tools at Merlotte’s. He uses threats to convince all the citizens to leave saying that if they don’t, he will shoot a nail-gun on Arlene’s head. Jason tries to help Sam, but his deception is recognized by the townsfolk who quickly recapture Sam. Wearing a gas mask, Jason feigns to be the God. Andy on the other hand holds up a tree branch to feign a horns appearance. He acts as if smiting Sam (who turns into a fly – apparently vanishing). It pulls out convincing and everyone leaves Merlotte’s. Sam re-appears; both Andy and Jason looked stunned of what just happened.

Meanwhile, Bill and Sookie go to Sookie’s house to find Maryann, who attacks Sookie. Sookie learns that Maryann is the creature who attacked her in the woods. Bill attempts to bite Maryann but finds her blood is toxic to him. Maryann seems intrigued with Sookie, who puts her hand off to push Maryann away, and finds a burst of light shines from her hand, knocking Maryann backwards. Sookie and Bill flee while Maryann gleefully ponders what Sookie is. They go to Lafayette’s and see Tara is still under Maryanne’s spell.

Together, Bill and Sookie use a combination of his glamour and her telepathy to break the spell over Tara. Tara expresses her desire to go rescue Eggs but her family prevents her from leaving. Bill recalls reading about Maenads and their worshipping of the God Dionysus many years ago and understands that Maryann is one. He goes to seek the vampire Queen of Louisiana, the one person who might know how to destroy Maryann, but when he arrives he finds a bloody foot dangling from the throne. Meanwhile, Maxine continues to insult both Jessica and Hoyt, until Jessica’s anger gets the better of her and she begins to feed on Maxine.

Eric is wounded in the explosion as he protects Sookie; amidst convincing her that there is no way he could heal himself with silver having lodged inside his body. In turn, Sookie’s begins to suck all the bullets as she ingests some of Eric’s blood. It is revealed by Bill that it will be possible now for Eric to begin sensing her and she might be sexually attracted to Eric.

In Bon Temps, Jessica is told by Hoyt that he really wanted her to meet his mum. Eggs and Tara wakes up badly bruised and discuss their blacking out once more in the previous night. Maryann tells the two of them the importance of lacking and losing all control as well as the necessity for chaos to prevail so that they can be closer to god they worship. Tara and Eggs go all the way t Merlotte’s as Lafayette accuses Eggs of bruising Tara. Eggs and Lafayette starts fighting. After arguing with his mother about how hateful she is he tells her she is about t meet Jessica. Sookie starts to dream about Eric and they exchange some sweet conversation as Lorena is saying that Sookie no longer cares about Bill. As the dream comes to the end, Eric seems to whisper to her that it was just the beginning. Maryann comes to the jail searching for Sam who shifts into a fly and disappears. Jessica comes face to face with Hoyt’s mum and she belittles Jessica and Hoyt tells her he will not come home to her again.

Later, Lettie Mae and Lafayette arrive at Sookie’s home and fins Tara, Maryann and Eggs. Lettie Mae pleads strongly with Tara to leave with her. As a result, Tara’s eyes are transformed black and she starts attacking her mum. Lafayette quickly takes Tara away and together with Lettie Mae grabs her away from the presence of Maryann. Sam witnesses all this in the shape of a fly. The vampires and Eric defend their actions in Dallas to Nan Flanagan who firstly berates Godric and sacks him from the position of Sheriff. Eric is intensely irritated with demeanor of Nan and tells Godric to begin fighhting the red tape. In turn Godric ends up accepting the demotion while he apologizes to al present and swears that he will make amends. Visibly upset, Eric approach Bill and tells him that they also have a score that has to be settled. Eric is punched by Bill in the mouth and after shrugging it off is n his way to go and meet Godric.

At Detective Bellefleur door, Sam arrives there naked. Bill is told by Sookie that he had to go to aid Godric. Sookie is on the roof and watches as Eric is breaking down in front of Godric begging him not leave in English and later in Swedish. He commands Eric and tells him he is very ready to leave amidst commanding Eric to get off the floor. Eric is promised by Sookie that she will stay by Godric as long as it would be possible. Godric dies as Sookie watches it in tears.

Godric orders Sookie and Eric to try and leave the Church without any bloodshed, but the surrounding Steve Newlin followers makes it really hard. Bill escapes from Lorena at hotel Carmilla, amidst ordering the amorous Hoyt and Jessica too return to Bon Temps. Jason manages to overpower Sarah Newlin and together with Bill he is able to create an open stalemate with the followers of Newlin.

Stan and the Dallas vampires seem to overwhelm the mob but Godric comes and orders a solution to the conflict through peaceful means. In the meantime at Bon Temps at the bar, Sam Merlotte’s ends up being lured to enter his bar where he finds out that Daphne has been murdered. Together with Maryann’s revelers, the police who arrive jails Sam despite the outlandish corroboration by Andy Bellefleur. Tara and Eggs are fed by Maryann a meal that is made from the heart of Daphne, which then drives the two of them into an overdrive of sexual and violent frenzy. They arrive at Compton manor where Jessica and Hoyt’s making out is again interrupted by the truth of Jessica’s hymen regenerating into its virginal state.

At Dallas, Godric nests the Stackhouse’s and vampires recovered from the Fellowship’s conflict. Sharing his nonviolent ideals with Eric, Hugo is banished out of mercy while Lorena is absolved out of contempt. There is a mysterious intruder who is revealed to all that it’s Luke and he has a suicide bomb tacked in bullets and chains made of silver. Luke then pushes the bomb’s detonator.

Andy, still drunk, chases the pig all over the woods and finds Maryann’s orgy. As he fires the pistol in his hands, breaking the trance Maryann had induced, he gives Sam the chance to escape. As he breaks the orgy, Terry breaks his arm and is still under the influence of Maryann. In the L.O.D.I basement, Sookie realizes that a person must have told the Fellowship concerning their mission. At the hotel, Bill is still disallowed from going to rescue Sookie.

There is a flashback that shows Bill is tired of annihilating innocents, where he asks Lorena to release her. Lorena reluctantly complies with the plea after he menaces to stake himself. Just outside the church, Isabel is asked by Eric what she loves about living with a human. Isabel tells him that it is the idea of mortality that makes life exciting and it is a perfect ’science experiment’ to glance at Hugo age. Eric is accused of Sookie coveting and he denies it.

Sarah is convinced by Jason not to say anything to her husband concerning the affair and she makes her mind to wait. Jessica and Hoyt makes their mind to be one another’s first time. Eric is confronted by Stan regarding direct dealing with the Fellowship and Stan is accused of Godric murder to take his Sheriff’s position. Next morning, Eggs and Tara wake up lying on Sookie’s couch where neither any idea how they arrived there has. Gabe and Steve interrogate Sookie, where Hugo who is claustrophobic in desperation reveals his last time as Stackhouse.

After making a decision that Jason could be a vampire’s sympathizer, Steve ends up telling Gabe to deal with the matter, though Jason is able to overpower him. Sookie later the mind of a weakened Hug and later discovers that he has been the traitor all along. Daphne is confronted by Sam who explains to him the fact that Maryann is a true Maenad, a creature immortal all the way from ancient Greece and who is Dionysus flower, the god of revelry and wine. Since they have immense power, Daphne likens both of them to Satan and Good. Members of the Church of Light of Day arrive to ‘lock in’.

After Arlene has admitted that she also blacked out, Tara begins to suspect Maryann. Terry is confronted by Andy at Merlotte’s, as he raves about ‘devil-zombies’ and ‘devil worshipers’ who have turned the whole of Bon Temps into a characteristic ‘orgy all the way from hell’. Sam realizes that he is the only person who knows Andy is telling the truth. Jessica and Hoyt consummate their love. Jason tries to flee from the L.O.D.I via the woods and Sarah shoots from using mysterious weapon. Daphne is thanked by Maryann at the stream for her services and makes Eggs to murder her.

Telepathically, Sookie reaches on Barry with a message from her. Eric hears it and runs to the church. In the basement Gabe bursts in and whacks up Hugo amass he is attempting to rape Sookie; he is pulled at the last second by Godric.

A minion of Godric, Isabel, comes at Bill and Sookie together with boyfriend who is human, named Hugo. Sookie and he are preparing to infiltrate the center of the Fellowship of the Sun. Meanwhile, Eric has called Lorena to come to the Hotel to try and drive Sookie and Bill from each other, and while her there, Lorena ends up ruminating on she and Bill’s past that was mired by violence. Daphne and Sam continue growing close, emotionally and physically.

In one of the errands for Maryann, Eggs begin to sense something very familiar with the surrounding, where he leads the two places at the heart of the woods. Something sinister about the place is evident in the place since they can feel it. Hoyt says to his mother that his sweetheart is a vampire. Lafayette is interrogated by Andy about his disappearance where he is threatened by a lack up. Since Lafayette had Post Horrible Stress Disorder horribly, he had memories of being locked up and he ends up collapsing into a major ball. Andy cousin Terry comforts him.

Jason and Luke are called to The Fellowship’s church to create a platform cru fix for a ceremony known as ‘meet the sun’, here a vampire ends up being tied on the cross prior being left to scorch in the sun. As he talks to Luke, hesitantly somewhat, he decides to practice some abstinence. Hugo and Sookie are ushered to the church by Sarah and as she introduces the two of them to Steve, Sookie takes a very little time to realize that Steve and Sarah have a vampire who is trapped and locked in their basement. After she has met the drill instructor named Gabe, Sookie is able to read Steve’s mind and realizes that a person had already tipped the Fellowship concerning their mission. There is resistance from Jason but Sarah convinces him all is God’s will as they end up making love on the balcony.

Sam is being lead to the orgy by Daphne is a bit hesitant because of the music. Out of the woods two people fall on Sam and drags him towards the orgy, and he sees the orgy that also include Eggs and Tara who are in an sex that is trance induced. Daphne aids to put a mask of a bull on Maryann as Carl approach carrying a sacrificial knife. There is a blood-curdling scream from Sam and ends the episode.

Tara’s birthday is also taking place in full proportions and Sam is following Daphne from the woods, and she reveals to him that she can also shape shift. The two begin to make out, but Arlene and Terry interrupts them making Daphne to wonder away. While in Dallas, Barry is chased by Sookie here he tells her that if the vampires at Dallas realize he has such ability it would translate into sincere problems for both of them.

After Bill has reprimanded her for a teenager man off from the Carmilla Hotel Menu, Hoyt is called y Jessica and they both share conversations about comic books. Jason, at the Light of Day Institute and others are put via a very intensive course in training done by Sarah and another drill instructor that is very demanding. Luke had a trouble with completion of one of the exercises and after Jason has helped out, he is commended for having such good qualities of a real soldier of God.

At the same time, Sookie tries again to connect with Barry where he learns that he is quite ashamed of the abilities he has and might not be able to bring his telepathy the way she can into control. Even if she asks to teach him, he insists that he wants her to leave him alone. In continuing to stir more trouble, Maryanne is trying to move in with Tara into Sookie’s house in Bon Temps but Tara is rebuffing her. Maryann cast a sinister spell on patrons at Merlotte’s and they all turn against her and make her feel very isolated. Afterwards, Tara invites Maryann to come at Sookie’s home with her. While in Dallas, the gang at Louisiana comes closer to solving the mystery of the disappearance of Godric once Sookie has offered to infiltrate into the Fellowship of the Sun through poising as a convert to glance around whether they are holding the Vampire sheriff, Godric, there.

Bill disapproves the entire plan and prior to enquiring why is so keen to find Godric, it is revealed to Bill by Eric that centuries ago it was Godric who had saved him from dying by turning him into the vampire he was and was concerned with Eric’s making. To show Jason ho serious their entire mission was, Steve Newlin depicts a bunker full of lethal serious weapons. Jason walks in on Sarah and Steve having a fight and Sarah seems to ‘reward’ him for all his hard work through jerking him off into a bath. Lafayette has his job again as the cook at Merlotte’s, Daphne and Sam have intense sex as Sookie feels sad after learning that Barry had to quit his job while Bill comforts her. Sookie and Bill start to have sex while a woman appears by the hallway just outside the room. It’s Lorena, Bill’s maker.

Hoyt is thrown out by Bill from the house and Jessica is dismayed. She storms away from them and Sookie later asks Jessica to come with them to Dallas as Bill agrees reluctantly. Maryann is supportive of Tara’s decision to move to Sookie’s house. Jason then becomes a victim of a pragmatic joke and winds up enjoying the last laugh when the Newlins invite him to stay at their lavish home.

Sarah and Jason’s attraction becomes intense and he is offered by Steve a position in their Soldier of the Sun, which is the ‘elite spiritual army’ of Steve. Miss Jeanette, who was the woman that was found in the car of Andy Bellefleur, is determined to have been murdered by the same mysterious creature that viciously attacked Sookie. Together with Bill and Jessica, Sookie arrives in Dallas. A driver of a limousine tries to abduct her. Bill prevents the kidnap and comes to learn from the abductor, after clamoring them that he was working under the orders of Fellowship of the Sun.

In the meantime, Lafayette who is traumatized receives a visit from Eric, and receives blood from him to heal. Suspiciously, Lafayette drinks the blood belonging to Eric to heal is ailing leg. Bill, Jessica and Sookie arrive at Hotel Carmilla, a lavish hotel, which caters for vampires especially. In the town of Bon Temps, Tara is spending her birthday alone before Eggs and Maryann arrive and throws her a good surprise party. With a gift for Tara all the from her mother, Sam shows up here he connects well with Daphne, who tells Sam that she has an idea of what ‘he is’. Lettie Mae’s gift for Tara is thrown away by Maryann.

As the birthday party grows more intense and wild, an incantation is performed by Maryann and fills the room with an intense and deep sexual energy. As Maryann changes into the beast again, Eggs and Tara have sex. Eric and Bill meet and had a discussion about the missing Godric, the vampire sheriff and what it translates in the case of their safety. Meeting a bellhop called Barry; Sookie learns he wields the power to read minds.

After he has glamour Jessica’s family and begins driving all the way back to the heart of Boon Temps, Sookie and Bill fiercely argue about the events of the night where Sookie storms from the vehicle. As she walks away, she is viciously attacked by a mysterious creature that poisons her, which has the body of a man and the head of a bull. Bill runs for help to Eric and with assistance Dr. Ludwig, a goblin woman, Sookie’s life is saved.

Jason confesses at the Light of Day camp his true feelings concerning vampires which further create a bond between him and Sarah Newlin after letting out some grief over Amy and Gran’s death. Sarah reveals to Jason that she used to be a vibrant sympathizer for vampires but she now suspects that they had something to do with her sister’s death. At Merlotte’s, Hoyt and Jessica begin to have special interest on each other, as Sam warns Tara that she has to stay from Maryann and after sometime, he snaps at Daphne and makes up his mind to take off for some time.

While at Fangtasia, Sookie uses Bills blood so that she can heal, where she discovers Lafayette is being held up in the basement. It is after she manages to arrange for his freedom that she decides to aid look for Goodrich the missing Sherriff in Dallas in exchange. Egg and Tara’s relationship hits a rough time while they are in one of the parties prepared by Maryann, after guests in the party have became very mysteriously sexual, including Eggs and a certain girl. Lafayette comes back home and weeps. Sookie and Bill arrive to find Hoyt and Jessica making out as Daphne and Sam return to good times and make peace among them. It is revealed that Daphne was attacked by the same vicious creature that had poisoned Sookie as the episode draws to a close.
